Bootstrap a production-ready SaaS app with authentication, teams, billing, dashboard routes, database models, and deployment defaults.

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 18 or newer.
  • A Supabase project or Postgres database.
  • A Stripe account with products, prices, and webhook access.
  • A deployment target such as Vercel or a Node-compatible host.

Clone and install

Set environment variables

  1. Copy .env.example to .env.local.
  2. Add database URL, Supabase keys, auth callback URL, Stripe keys, and Stripe price IDs.
  3. Restart the dev server after every environment change.

Prepare the database

  1. Run the included migrations.
  2. Seed starter plans and example roles if provided.
  3. Confirm row-level security or equivalent access rules before inviting real users.

Configure authentication

Checklist
  • Enable email/password or OAuth providers.
  • Set local and production redirect URLs.
  • Verify sign-up, sign-in, password reset, and logout flows.

Connect Stripe billing

  1. Add monthly and annual price IDs to the plans config.
  2. Create the webhook route in Stripe Dashboard.
  3. Run a test checkout and confirm subscription status appears in the dashboard.

Deploy

Checklist
  • Add production environment variables.
  • Run migrations against the production database.
  • Test auth callbacks, billing checkout, and webhook delivery in production.
