CodersArts already had a strong brand in the developer community, but their learning content was scattered — some on YouTube, some in blog posts, some in paid one-on-one sessions. There was no unified platform where students could find structured courses, follow learning paths, access tutorials by technology, and get help with specific programming problems. The brief was to build a centralised EdTech platform that served learners from complete beginners through to advanced developers, across multiple programming domains.

We built Dev CodersArts as a full-stack EdTech platform with a course catalogue, structured learning paths, a tutorial library, and a solutions/Q&A section. The platform uses a freemium model — core content is free to attract learners globally, with premium courses and live mentoring unlocked through paid plans. We built a content CMS that allows the CodersArts team to publish and update courses without developer involvement. The platform is SEO-optimised with structured data, topic landing pages, and fast static rendering — enabling organic discovery from 50+ countries.

Course Catalogue & Learning Paths

Structured courses organised by technology, skill level, and learning path. Students enrol, track progress, and pick up where they left off. Completion certificates generated automatically.

Video Lesson Player

Custom video player with chapter markers, playback speed control, note-taking sidebar, and transcript display. Lessons are hosted on a CDN for consistent fast load times globally.

Tutorial Library

SEO-optimised tutorial pages organised by technology tag (React, Python, Django, Node.js, etc.). Each tutorial is a standalone long-form article designed to rank for specific search queries.

Solutions & Q&A Section

Students post programming problems and get solutions from the CodersArts team and community. Stack Overflow-style upvoting, accepted answers, and code snippet formatting with syntax highlighting.

Freemium Content Model

Free users access the full tutorial library and preview lessons. Premium users unlock complete courses, downloadable resources, live Q&A sessions, and 1:1 mentoring packages.

Content CMS for Non-Developers

A Notion-inspired internal CMS lets the CodersArts team create and publish courses, tutorials, and solutions without developer involvement. WYSIWYG editor with code block, image, and embed support.

Student Dashboard & Progress Tracking

Each student has a dashboard showing enrolled courses, completion percentages, earned certificates, saved tutorials, and learning streak data — designed to encourage consistent engagement.

SEO Architecture & Structured Data

Every course, tutorial, and solution page has unique meta titles, schema.org structured data (Course, HowTo, Article), canonical URLs, and auto-generated sitemaps — maximising organic discoverability.

Multi-Currency Stripe Billing

Stripe Checkout with automatic currency detection — learners in India pay in INR, US learners in USD. Supports monthly and annual billing with proration and self-serve cancellation.

How we went from brief to live.

01

Content Architecture & IA (Week 1–2)

Mapped the full information architecture — how courses, tutorials, solutions, and learning paths relate to each other. Designed the URL structure and taxonomy for SEO from day one.

02

Design System & UI Build (Week 2–3)

Built a comprehensive design system in Figma covering all content page types, the student dashboard, course player, and CMS interfaces. Prioritised readability and low-distraction learning UX.

03

Core Platform Development (Weeks 3–5)

Built the course catalogue, video player, tutorial library, and student dashboard. Implemented user authentication, course enrolment, and progress tracking with Supabase.

04

CMS & Content Publishing (Week 5–6)

Built the internal CMS with the WYSIWYG editor, code block formatting, image uploads, and publish/draft workflow. Trained the CodersArts team on the system before launch.

05

SEO Implementation & Billing (Week 6–7)

Implemented all structured data markup, generated dynamic sitemaps, set up Stripe multi-currency billing, and built the Q&A section with upvoting and syntax-highlighted answers.

06

Performance Audit & Launch (Week 7–8)

Achieved Lighthouse scores above 90 across all page types. Deployed to Vercel with edge caching for static content. Launched with an existing email list of 5,000 subscribers.

We went from scattered content on YouTube and a blog to a fully structured learning platform in 8 weeks. The SEO architecture they built is what surprised me most — we started ranking for programming tutorial queries in India within 6 weeks of launch.
